Hi, I’m Emily Bradford, and I’m running for Vandalia City Council because I believe in our city and know how to help it grow.

I’ve lived in Vandalia for over 30 years. I graduated from Vandalia-Butler schools, chose to raise my own family here, and have spent nearly two decades working in county government to improve local services and strengthen public operations. My roots in this community run deep, and so does my commitment to its future.

This city has given so much to me and my family—and now, I’m ready to give back by bringing my experience and dedication to the City Council.

Why I’m Running

I’m running for City Council because Vandalia deserves experienced, community-focused leadership. I want to ensure that our city continues to be a place we’re proud to call home—today and for future generations.

As a council member, I will:

  • Support fiscal responsibility while investing in smart, community-centered projects

  • Champion transparent, accountable governance

  • Work to make city services more efficient and accessible

  • Strengthen the relationship between residents and their local government

I’ve built a career on improving government from the inside out, and now I want to bring that same energy and effectiveness to our city government.

I currently serve as the Clerk of Commission and Director of Operations for Montgomery County, where I:

  • Oversee strategic policy implementation, legislative research, and compliance

  • Partner with County Commissioners and the County Administrator to ensure effective governance

  • Manage public records, digital processes, and community engagement efforts

  • Lead initiatives that streamline services and improve transparency across departments

  • As past President of the State of Ohio Clerks’ Association and a leader on numerous internal committees, I bring both practical knowledge and hands-on leadership to every role I take on.

on November 4th, I’m asking for your vote.

I work closely with the County Administrator and County Commissioners, giving me a deep understanding of the critical relationship between a top administrator and an elected body, and how important that partnership is to the success of the jurisdiction.
